CHRISTMAS 2009
It snowed in Wilmington on Christmas Day this year. Awesome. Couldn't be better!
Me With Mom after opening rad presents that she hooked Danielle and I up with. Mom should've been Santa. We hooked her up with some good presents too, so she was real psyched. So awesome she lives nearby now. You go Blitzen!Danielle and I spent two years making a ski trail on Grandma's property in Newfane to the top of the mountain behind the barn. (I made a sign out of Grandma's 300 year old Maple Tree that used to be in front of her house - it reads: "Miriam Crispe honorary ski trail" I put it up on Christmas Eve at the trailhead I made in honor of her! She skied at Stowe the year it opened. She is the O.G. Vermont skier!! On Christmas day, I brought our snowmobile to Grandma's house and gave all the Aunts, Jay, and Danielle the snowmobile ride of their life up the mountain and then a big loop to the Old Log Road and through the field back to Grandma's house. It was awesome! Diane held on for dear life, cause she had never been snowmobiling before, but I went slow and we made it just fine. On the way home Danielle and I saw a Barred Owl and then it started snowing. Could this Christmas get any better?!!Our Nieces and Nephew on Danielle's side of the family. Danielle's pride and joy. They rule and got ultra hooked up with all kinds of fun stuff!! They love their Auntie.
Danielle and I went to "The Annual Grinold Redneck Christmas Party" in Wilmington. Redneck Christmas was the theme, so Danielle and I dressed up accordingly. We had a blast. That Wolf shirt looks amazingly hideous on me. Santa almost cancelled Christmas. I love my KISS shorts though and wear them in real life - They're disgusting and repulsive. Ted Nugent would be proud.
Danielle looks Hot in anything she puts on. Or takes off...wait...did I really just publicly write that. Doh!
In other news, went snowshowing from the White House in Wilmington all the way to Lake Raponda on the Primitive trail the other day - pretty exhilirating. Also went snowshoeing on the main trail amidst light snow all the way to the top of Haystack Mountain (not the ski area, the peaked mountain left of it) last saturday. That was intense. Got home and collapsed from exhaustion. Man...
Been skiing Mount Snow a bunch and snowmobiling the trails behind our house. Watched Hangover again last week...any movie with Mike Tyson acting in it is guaranteed to be good...so is the first Def Leppard album...when they were still a heavy metal band...none of that watered down "pour some sugar on me" candy coated garbage.
-20 degrees outside as I write this. (Dec 29th) That means skateboarding inside. Hopefully we'll have a park in Brattleboro soon now that they approved our spot at the Crowell Lot. Thrash the planet.
New years resolution: More pizza for everyone,
-Bigfoot & Banana.
