I see why they call this the long trail!!
Danielle and I took a few days off over labor day weekend to keep chipping away at hiking the long trail through Vermont from the Mass border to Canada.
We've hiked 100 miles of it so far and still have 172 to go. Doh!! We're going to try and take off 4 days in October to keep hiking more. We might even be able to finish this year.
We saw two moose coming off Bromley and it wasn't Netanel dressed in a moose costume, it was actually a moose - two of them!! Only 50 feet away. Danielle petted the first one and fed it some peanuts and celery.
Killington was grueling. You go up for like 3000 miles and it's so, so steep. But we made it to the top and I've thrown in some photos - one of which is from the top of Killington.
Tomorrow we're hiking another 20 mile section. I wish I had a 4 wheeler because I'd just ride that and cheat. It would be a lot easier. Fall is in full effect. The colors are vibrant. Who needs LSD when you have vibrant Vermont fall foliage???!!
