We bought a house in Wilmington, Vermont

Here a couple images of the house from this past Fall. Slowly but surely we're getting things set up and getting settled in!

God willing, we are scheduled to close Friday September 5th. This house rules hard. After almost 2 years of looking, it appears that we have found what we are looking for. It's like that U2 song "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" except it's like the resolution of that song, so if Banana and I were playing the song it would go like this: "We have found what we're looking for."

Oh man,
It's right near the VAST snowmobile trails, it's about 150 feet from Lake Raponda (the boat launch, the beach and fishing rocks), it's 3 miles from downtown Wilmington which in my opinion is one of the prettiest villages in the universe, and it's 6 miles from Mount Snow. The house is 2.7 acres, at a very high elevation so there are like angels up there and it snows in like July. There are a bunch of Christmas trees that naturally grow on the property so it feels like it's Christmas. The house is like a gingerbread house - cozy, with lots of beams, posts, woodwork and soon to be, my old skateboard decks nailed to the wall. It's on Hogback Mountain in Wilmington - the Old Stage Road and only 16 miles to Brattleboro. There are lots of hiking, biking and snowshoeing trails too.
Our friend Eddie Barber is also planning on building us a sugar house so I can begin making maple syrup this spring.

I took a few photos with my cell phone real quick, check it out.

We plan on moving right after the closing. We've already packed up our things. This time we're actually going to put our things in boxes when we move.

Also, we just got back from Alaska. We wrestled Grizzly bears and melted a glacier with a hairdryer. It was out of control. We took an ATV tour and got covered in lots of mud which was incredible. We saw sea lions, tons of bears, moose, puffins, a lynx and a tricaritops - or it might have been Danielle in a tricaratops outfit, I'm not sure. Doh!

Danielle and I are amidst hiking the long trail right now, section by section. It's so beautiful going from mountaintop to mountaintop. We'll try and post some pictures, or maybe an artist rendering sketch when we get a chance.

Hope all is well,

Take care!!
Love,

Killa' Hugs and Big KISSes, (speaking of which, Danielle and I have tickets to see KISS for our one year anniversary.)
Bigfoot and Banana
Da Bears
I'd rather be at a Neil Diamond concert.
