Sugarhouse sign

I'm posting photos soon on here of the sugarhouse which is now done. This is the sign on it made from Grandma's 250 year old maple tree. I saw the board and sanded it down. Then we cut in the lettering and it's got 5 coats of polyurethane on it to protect it. More photos to come. Last night Danielle and I went off roading through the National Forest in Stamford and Pownal. We went through a mud lagoon 4 feet deep, up past my headlights (fortunately water doesn't get in the engine air intake of my particular Toyota, otherwise you're screwed) and we made it across to the other side miraculously. Toyota Tacoma's rule. It was the equivalent of driving through Lake Champlain + a volcanic eruption. I was psyched we made it, otherwise, I'd still be there now. It's getting colder, snow should be here soon!!
