FRESH MESS....
My friend Phil and I hiked to the top of Monadnock Mountain - NOT Mt Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH, this one by the same name was in the MIDDLE OF BEYOND NOWHERE in Lemington, Vermont. Way in the upper northeast corner of Vermont. High in the permafrost. Actually, there was still snow up there. We hiked up last Saturday. Kinda foggy, but cool nonetheless. We saw animals that people have long thought were extinct it was such primitive wilderness. The North East Kingdom rules...
This beast of a waterfall is actually really high - like 30 feet or so. This is Old City Falls in Stratford, Vermont. Awesome waterfall and relatively easy to get to. I hit this one up last Sunday. Really beautiful. I wanna take Ashley and Sara's wyld 'n crazy kids to this one when they come up this summer. I'm going to put Netanel on a leash for this one though...

Saturday Phil and I also hit up Big Falls in Troy Vermont (two cool waterfalls this weekend, not bad) Big Falls is just that - the cliff on the left is 80 feet high. The falls have an insane amount of water raging through them. It makes Niagra Falls look like a 8 year olds runny nose. Seriously though, it was really powerful and cool to watch. Again, way in the middle of nowhere near the Canadian border up by Jay Peak. We needed like a Sherpa to get there.
Another shot of Old City Falls. You have to be careful when you go there because there's a lot of slippery rocks, it can be tricky walking. The town should put an elevator in and a Starbucks. What the hell, where's the convenience these days?
METAL MILITIA,
Spencer.
