SKIED THE LENGTH OF VERMONT - 300 MILES
I finished the Catamount Trail March 9th 2013 becoming the 52nd person to ever ski the length of Vermont - From Massachusetts to Canada. 300 Miles on the Catamount Trail - which is the longest X-C ski trail in North America. This was such an exhilarating adventure and one of the best, most memorable experiences of my life.
7 Seasons of indestructibility!! Renee and I have done a ton of riding on the VAST trails this season with all the deep snow.
We snowmobiled from Whitingham to Wilmington then over the Old County Road to Heartwellville recently. It was an awesome trip. Leave it to Vermont to have better snowmobile trails than actual roads!!
Sugaring season is in full swing. Renee and I should finish off about a half gallon of fresh maple syrup tonight. We got permission to tap all the trees around us on the embankment in Putney. Some enormous historic 200 year old giant Maples too. I'm planning on chilling for a while now that I finished the Catamount Trail and made it to my goal of skiing 50 days this winter (52 so far). Then hopefully around June 1st I want to begin trying to complete hiking the New Hampshire 48 Four Thousand Footers.
Renee and I are going to Styx, Ted Nugent, and REO Speedwagon April 23rd. It's going to be gloriously terrible!! :)
Take care,
Spencer.
ps - On a political note, the Catholic Church as an institution disgusts me. Why is Roger Mahoney in the Papal Conclave selecting the next Pope? For those of you who don't know it is a fact that he helped cover up for rapists and child molester Priests for years. Now this man is one of the Cardinals picking the next Pope? That is despicable.
