SEPTEMBER 1ST 2011 - SEPTEMBER 1ST 2012: 103 MOUNTAINS

I reached 103 separate and distinct peaks which I climbed in a one year period. (Actually now I'm up to 106). And the 103 # doesn't even count subordinate peaks, small mountains, and other climbs throughout the year.
I'm almost done with the Adirondack 46-ers. I just have a few more to go. Check out the photos from the past couple weeks!

 Magic Owl watching in the trees

 Here's another shot of the Northern Saw Whet Owl I spotted on the hike. This was near the bottom of Haystack Mountain. Such a magical and mysterious creature. I've never seen one of these in all my experience searching for Owls. They're pretty hard to come by - rarely seen. I was so fortunate to get a close up look on the trail of the Owl without it flying away!
