89 out of 110

What's up? Going on a moonlight hike with Danielle in a little bit. We hiked Mount Grace the other day and did an awesome full-moon loop through the woods in Wilmington the other night. Hit up some skiing the other day. Been out 7 times so far. We have snow on the ground in Wilmington but only about a 1/2 inch - I want like 72 more.

Spent numerous Sunday's recently working on my camp in super cold and sometimes snowy weather. The painting and staining is done. multiple coats. Big thanks to Ray for giving me his old wood stove. Looks awesome. Maybe I'll even leave the painters tape on the walls permanently.
Nothing, nothing, nowhere is as beautiful as Vermont. This is from the summit of Goshen Mountain (between Middlebury and Killington) last weekend. So beautiful and a good amount of snow at the top. This view is east towards Rochester, Vt.
Another shot taken from the summit of Goshen Mountain - #89/110. Didn't take long to hike up from Route 74. As often happens, we found an obscure unmarked logging spur trail to get to the top which made it easier. The snow wasn't too deep and we just followed our tracks back down. One of the most beautiful summits I've been to out of my mountain climbing in Vermont. Millions of long range views, endless peaks, totally sunny, cold and snowy. Vermont is more awesome than ebay and pizza put together.
Wow.
On Saturday, we hiked up Equinox Mountain in Manchester, Vermont. COLD. Got to catch an incredible sunset on our way down. It was like an '80's neon day glow sunset. So spectacular. #88/110. Did a little Class 4 back-roading with the truck afterwards. Old faithful made it over some pretty bad rutted roads through the wildnerness. Lots of fun.
Probably my favorite historical event in a long time - We got a record 25 inches of snow in late OCTOBER not only in Wilmington, but in Brattleboro too. Mom took this shot after I skiied down Memorial Park BEFORE HALLOWEEN, which in the 30 years I've been skiing the park is definitely the earliest I've ever made it onto the slope.

3 words that get me psyched for Christmas: Jimmy's coming home.
